7.  Your abstract should be informative, containing: a) a short statement of the study’s specific objective, b) a brief statement of methods, c) a summary of the results, and d) a statement of the conclusions.

8.  Abstracts should not contain figures or references. Black and white tables are allowable.

9.  Italicize only scientific words.

10.  Submit your abstract via this Abstract Submission page. Do not fax or send a hard copy of your abstract. Please make sure the Word document opens on a PC computer. For questions contact Lisa Becton at lbecton@pork.org.

11.  All of the abstract submissions will be selected for poster presentation. A limited number of abstracts will also be selected for oral presentation. Oral presentations will be selected on the basis of cutting edge, high quality science which has not been previously published.  Those selected for an oral presentation will still be required to present a poster.  Those selected for oral presentation will be notified. Oral presentations will be in PowerPoint format.

12.  Poster boards will be provided for the Poster Sessions. The boards will be approximately 4’H by 8’W with two posters on each side. Each poster should be no larger than 4' x 4'. Tacks will be provided. Posters should be mounted for viewing before the opening session on Friday, December 2nd and left in place until 4pm, Saturday Dec. 3rd.

13.  Submission of an abstract to the 2011 International PRRS Symposium DOES NOT constitute abstract submission to CRWAD. The 2011 International PRRS Symposium is held in advance of CRWAD, but is a distinct, separate meeting. Therefore, you are encouraged to submit a separate abstract for presentation at CRWAD in order to promote the widest dissemination of your research findings. The CRWAD website can be found at http://www.cvmbs.colostate.edu/mip/crwad/.

14. Please do not use any special characters in the file name of the abstract you are uploading and keep the file name short so it will upload properly.
